Stages of a Pomegranate

Pomegranates are very healthy fruit that contain fibrous seeds surrounded by sweet juice.  They are high in antioxidants, can help fight osteoarthritis and are very heart healthy.  They have additional health benefits as well and are a good source of vitamin B and C.  According to www.fruitsinfo.com each fruit contains about 600 seeds!

We happen to have a pomegranate plant that hangs over our back fence from our neighbor’s yard.  I discovered several stages of the fruit growth currently on the plant and decided it was an excellent opportunity for me to experiment with my new camera.  I hope you enjoy 🙂

    That is so interesting, Lisa!
Does your neighbor let you eat any of those?

    1. We can grab them off the branches, but it seems the birds get to them before they are ripe enough to eat. But now I want one 🙂
