Saguaro Cactus, after dozens of years of growth, will produce beautiful white flowers. These flowers are pollinated by bees and birds during the day, and bats at night (see previous post here).
Soon after bloom (they bloom for less than 24 hours!), the fruit will appear. The fruit is eatable. Sweet juicy tissue surrounds up to 2000 tiny seeds.
The fruit provides food and nutrition for a multitude of desert creatures each spring.
The beautiful pink/red fruit is only a small part that the Saguaro Cactus plays in the amazing desert ecosystem.
A whale is as unique as a cactus. But don’t ask a whale to survive Death Valley. We all have special gifts. Where we use them and how determines whether we actually complete something.

In the end, it is important to remember that we cannot become what we need to be by remaining what we are.
