Isn’t that what life feels like sometimes? We have pressure from work, from family, sometimes from friends or community. And all the things we need to do, should do, and the things we want to do.
Today we decided to go out for our Thanksgiving dinner. No cooking. No cleaning. No shopping and planning. Sure, there were no left overs. I miss that. But, I also don’t need them. Usually the holiday left overs aren’t top of the list for healthy eating.
So instead today we slept in. Enjoyed a healthy breakfast while watching the Thanksgiving Day Parade (I enjoyed a few of the commercials more than the parade!). Then, because I had plenty of time, I headed out on a walk. It was cool, overcast, and breezy. But peaceful and energizing. Just what I needed.
In all things of nature there is something of the marvelous.
When I returned home, over an hour later, I showered and got ready for dinner.
We had a lovely dinner out with my parents. Afterwards we watched a movie with them and enjoyed our pie and ice cream.
Aside from missing family far away (they are always in our hearts), I couldn’t ask for a more enjoyable, relaxing and satisfying day.
