In the heart of Sedona, you will find Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village, a most beautiful shopping village. Tlaquepaque, meaning the “best of everything”, is fashioned after a traditional Mexican Village and has been a landmark in Sedona since 1970.
Because our visit to Sedona was, ironically, the week Arizona started opening up from the COVID “at home” orders, many shops had minimal open hours, so we did not enjoy the shopping while we were there. However, we did enjoy the loveliness of the courtyards, flowers and architecture.
We enjoyed dinner there one night, with a great view looking out over one of the fountain areas. After noticing a cute breakfast cafe, we decided to stop there for breakfast on our last day in town, with the understanding that I would spend some time after breakfast photographing the village in the bright morning light. I did just that, and I hope you enjoy the photos below showcasing the different nooks, archways, flowers, fountains and statues throughout the center.
It was truly lovely!

In this slideshow is the cute little chapel in the shopping village, and the areas surrounding the chapel:

“Think of all the beauty still left around you and be happy.” ~ Anne Frank

“When I’m walking along in the street, I always feel that around the corner, there is something wonderful waiting for me. That’s my attitude.” ~ Sophia Loren

“Still round the corner there may wait, A new road or a secret gate.” ~ J. R. R. Tolkien
