On a recent daily email with ebook deals, I discovered the book “Max the Miracle Dog”. A few days ago I started reading it, and I was hooked.
If you are feeling a bit down, or perhaps bored with life, this book may be just the pick-me-up for you. A true story, the book documents the life of Kerry Irving and how a dog helped bring him back to living his life after a devastating accident. The book details his life through childhood and the transition into his first career. It was at that time he was involved in an accident and his life changed forever. The focus of the book is more specifically his challenges with intense chronic pain, depression, and lack of enthusiasm for life.
When Max appeared in his life unexpectedly, everything changed once again. Pet lovers understand the bond between a human and an animal. Our pet will give us never-ending unconditional love and understanding. The power that love brings can be underestimated and this book really brings it to life.
Kerry lives in Scotland and his book describes some of the beauty of the land. It’s fun to read how the relationship grew between Max and Kerry, and how Kerry’s life changed as the weeks progressed. It touched my heart as I realized this was a true life story. When I started to read it, I did not realize that. Then I read Max had a Facebook page. Is Max still alive?
Yes! Max is still alive, and Max does, indeed, have his own Facebook page!
In fact, today is Max’s 13th Birthday! 🎈🎈🎈
I am quite fascinated to see current updates on life in the Scotland hills. If you utilize Facebook, you will want to check out Max’s Facebook page: Max Out in the Lake District. After 13 years, Max is still warming the hearts of others.
I also found a news article here in the UK News, describing Kerry’s story and his amazing dog.
But I won’t give out too much information. 😊 You can currently purchase the e-book on Amazon for $1.99. Worth every penny.
In my opinion, a great price for a few hours of inspiration and heart warming entertainment. A true story that will help give a little more inspiration and meaning to living life. 💙
Allow your dog to take you for a walk every day. It’s good for the body and it’s good for the soul.
And as a true animal lover, I’m including the furry love of my life, Precious. She keeps me entertained day after day. Two years ago we lost her sweet pal Shadow, such a sweet sweet loving cat (post here). We still miss him. Animals ARE amazing!
Thought subsides when you pet your dog or you have a purring cat on your chest. Even just watching an animal can take you out of your mind. It is more deeply connected with the source of life than most humans, and that rootedness in Being transmits itself to you. Millions of people who otherwise would be completely lost in the conceptual reality of their mind are kept sane by living with an animal.
