Photo Challenge: Bird Love ❤

This week Lisa Coleman challenges us here to post birds we love. So on this Valentine’s day I will share a couple of birds I met on my park visit last Tuesday.

The American Wigeon is quite a little show bird. With his colors and shimmers he’s all about strutting his stuff for his gal friend. With the sun and the water they are quite beautiful.

It is hard for me to realize the pretty one is the male, and the beautiful brown is the female.

💗💚 Both lovely birds 💚💗

“Use what talents you possess; the woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang best.” ~ Henry Van Dyke

“may my heart always be open to little birds who are the secrets of living” ~ e. e. cummings

“Tomorrow, the birds will sing. Be brave. Face life.” ~ Charlie Chaplin

“Unclose your mind. You are not a prisoner. You are a bird in flight, searching the skies for dreams.” ~ Haruki Murakami

    1. Thank you! Funny thing is, the male looks to me like he has eye shadow on, and lipstick! HA! I thought he was the female at first. They are very cool looking birds.
