A Photo a Week Challenge: Sunrise

After seeing Nancy’s post here for the Photo A Week Challenge, I got inspired to post a few of my summer morning walk sunrise photos.

Every workday during the summer, I got up before sunrise to do my daily walk. I didn’t realize the treat I would be blessed with each day as I watched the sun come up. I took dozens of photos. Little did I know that once our monsoon season hit, the scenery would change, and our desert wash area would be transformed, blanketed with vibrant greens and yellows. The colors are still somewhat subtle, but so beautiful.

I took these sunrise photos with my cell phone, stopping time after time to capture some of the beauty I was blessed with along the path.

The two bottom photos are just after sunrise, but the sun brings the green and yellows to life.

🧡💛🧡💛🧡

This photo is very near where the photo above was taken.

This photo is also in the same area as the two photos above.
Farther down along the path.

Love the way you caught the sun beams across the landscape Lisa, beautiful captures my friend 🙂 I especially love the context of the first shot with the empty seat in it, it speaks to me.

    1. It was, and it’s right by my house. I would see quite a few familiar faces each morning as I walked (human and puppy 😊) .

    1. Thank you, Frank! When I started walking that route, I didn’t realize the view I’d have of the sunrise. It made getting up so early worth it!

    1. Thank you VJ! I didn’t realize how beautiful it would be. It’s so hot I headed out right when it was barely getting light out.

    1. Yes! And as much effort as it took to get up early every day and go, it was SO worth it! (and not just for the sunrise, that was an awesome bonus 😊)

Yes. I have been doing the same for the last few months, about 3 days a week. There is something magical about seeing it come over the horizon. Definitely a bonus.
