What better way to bring in the new year than with the dear sweet joys of animal love?
While family visited from out of town the past several days, one of our adventures took us to Hoofsnhorns Farm Sanctuary. A new and joyful discovery. I did not know such a place existed nearby. Although this adventure was primarily for the joy of my niece, my brother, mother and I went along for the fun.
There were all varieties of animals, and the owner took us around telling us story after story of how the animals came to live with her at the farm. Each and every one had a name, and her love for the animals was clearly evident.
Several goats ran free of the fenced areas. They followed us around as though we were their long lost friends!
These animals appeared well cared for. They were so full of joy and loved every moment of attention.
As we head into a new year, let’s take a moment to feel and appreciate all of the love that surrounds us. I wish for you a blessed 2022. May you discover new loves and joys every day.

A wonderful experience for visiting family Lisa, and so sweet that the lady had a story for each animal and how she came to care for it. A place a young child would adore.

Simple joys indeed. There is someone about animals that maybe bring out the kid in us. I love the first goat. Kind of taking command of the situation or… training for goat yoga.
