Neotropic Cormorant

Cormorants are fascinating birds. Check out that hooked beak!!

They have cool green eyes. Unfortunately, the light wasn’t catching their glimmer this day.

They seem to always move with their head up. Proud looking birds they are. πŸ’™

In all things of nature there is something of the marvelous.

Beautiful images Lisa and those eyes are a beautiful blue. Why have they named it double-crested, when I can’t see a crest on it anywhere ?

    1. Well…… My previous photo from the lake was ID’d as double-crested. So, I put this one in my app and I discovered, it is a Neotropic Cormorant!! I am going to assume my other one was as well. So, I stand corrected! Thanks for asking! I will need to edit my post 😊
