Beautiful sunshine and water reflections:
Bees buzzing around a few remaining flowers:
A Vermillion Flycatcher:
A beautiful coyote as he sauntered off in the distance:
A variety of floating ducks swimming to-and-fro around the pond:
With beautiful fall color reflections:
Multiple dragonfly sightings!
Another bird:
Beautiful fall and winter colors:
Duck wings flapping:
And in the end, even the ducks are ready for an afternoon nap:
“I remember a hundred lovely lakes, and recall the fragrant breath of pine and fir and cedar and poplar trees. The trail has strung upon it, as upon a thread of silk, opalescent dawns and saffron sunsets. It has given me blessed release from care and worry and the troubled thinking of our modern day. It has been a return to the primitive and the peaceful. Whenever the pressure of our complex city life thins my blood and benumbs my brain, I seek relief in the trail; and when I hear the coyote wailing to the yellow dawn, my cares fall from me – I am happy.”
~ Hamlin Garland

Thank you, Sarah! We were surprised with the dragonflies. I did read today that we have dragonflies year around in Arizona. But fewer in the winter than in the summer.

Love your Vermillion Flycatcher, Lisa! (I’m a little jealous too, hehe, one of these days maybe I’ll see one 😉 ) Wonderful and beautiful sightings and shots, what a fabulous way to spend a part of Christmas Day!
