We did visit the rock stores at the south entrance were we got to see actual petrified wood and visit a museum inside.

I also found a Route 66 bookstore in Holbrook that had Route 66 merchandise and also did the ordering for the park. They were so kind to bring out their park merchandise and I walked away with my t-shirt, mug, park token, book and stickers.

…and I called it a day.

(we did have other stops on our route so all was not lost…)
