Wednesday Green

Yes, is there anything more refreshing? Green plants, green leaves, tiny buds starting to bloom! And amazing as it is, we got rain again this morning! I’m not noticing the variety of wild flowers that I saw last spring after our rainy 2019, but everything is sprouting something, and a lot of it is green….

Tuesday’s Flower

I believe this to be the Desert Thorn-apple (Datura discolor). I will be watching for it to open over the next couple of days. According to Wikipedia, all parts of this plant contain a mix of alkaloids that are potentially lethal when enough is ingested. Deaths from careless recreational use of Datura and related plants…
