Flashback to 2008: Antiqua BVI

These photos have been on my mind recently. I decided to pull them up and reminisce about our stop in Antiqua in 2008. We cruised the Eastern Caribbean and this was one of five stops. I fell in love with Antigua, I’m not quite sure why. But the water was amazing, and I enjoyed the short island visit.

I took these photos with my cannon pocket camera. I believe it was my first digital camera. Nothing fancy, but my cruise photos are some of my very favorite photos.

I was so fascinated with Antigua that I chose to return in 2013 to celebrate my 50th birthday at Sandals Resort. My husband was happy to tag along 😊

I did brighten and straighten these photos just a bit.

I just love the old boats. One of my favorite photos ever is my first one below, taken from the back of the cruise ship.

We docked very early in the morning.

Boats are everywhere.

Another one of my favorite photos:

I love the water colour Lisa, the shades of aqua and colourful boats, looks like an interesting place to explore.

    1. It was a different place, I have traveled very little out of my country. But I was absolutly fascinated Not all showy once we walked back on to some of the back roads. We loved our second visit as well. The second time we had someone take us around the island, and it was just us and the driver (arranged by the resort). Very cool!

    1. Something about the town, the people, I really liked it, even though I felt out of place. I have traveled very little out of the US. I love the show International House Hunters. I am fascinated with how other areas of the world live.

I love the turquoise blue waters seen in the Caribbean. We used to enjoy visiting the US Virgin Islands. However, I’m not a fan of sailing but was always up for a day of snorkeling. Thanks for reminding me how beautiful that part of the world is.

    1. I’m glad it brings back good memories! I enjoyed the cruise, but I like to explore more than just hang out on the boat. I also love snorkeling!

Such a beautiful place! The place doesn’t seem very commercial either, calm and serene waters.
