I watched these two flutter around the feeder for a bit. It may appear that the tiny hummingbird was scared off. Let me tell you he’s a tough little fella. He still got his lunch!
I am fascinated watching the birds at our hummingbird feeder. Finches, woodpeckers and yes the little hummingbirds. We even have flame-colored tanagers come to this feeder in the spring. I saw my first one a few days ago.

They get a little crazy! We also have a finch feeder and wild bird seed. Sometimes we just have to laugh! I sure hope you get one soon!! 🙂

Now that is something that I’ve never seen. There is only one hummingbird species in my area, and they are very territorial with each other.

It is surprising that they all seem to get their time at the feeder. Hummingbirds still come. But I see more other birds than hummingbirds! And who knew that other birds would want sugar water!

I love watching the hummers at our feeder. There are a lot of squabble here, too! But your photos of these two birds show how courageous a hummingbird can be.
