Lens-Artists Photo Challenge- On the Water

John hosts the LAPC challenge this week with the theme “On the Water”. I just love to review photos of past adventures so I decided to look through my photos from our Florida trip last fall and see what I could find “On the Water”. The photos below are all from Panama City Beach, FL and the featured image above was taken at St. Andrew’s State Park.

Thank you John for this great theme!

My first photo below is from our balcony, looking out as a rain storm passes over the water. We spent part of our afternoon this day relaxing and enjoying the beautiful view before we headed out to find some sort of adventure.

We spent some time out on the pier above during our stay and enjoyed watching all of the folks out fishing. The slide show below shows one of the fish caught off the pier:

Below is a sunset photo from our balcony. I have edited it to black and white and you can see the subtle rays of light glisten on the water. The sunsets were stunning from that balcony.

The photo below was taken somewhere in St. Andrews State Park. We spent one morning exploring before heading back to our hotel to cool off in the pool. I just loved all of the pelicans we found all over the area. I thought this was so cute of this one sleeping on the pier. And the colors of the boats tied up complimented him well. 😊

Off to the other direction was this barge on the water. I’m not sure what it was doing, but it was surrounded by a lot of birds. A nearby sign indicated there was dredging in the area.

This last photo below was taken from a pier in another area of the park. You can tell they are stingrays gliding through the water. This was the best photo I was able to capture.

If you’d like to see my original post on our trip to Panama City Beach, you can read it here.
