Beautiful day with entertaining ocean friends at La Jolla Cove!
One of the places we visited on the last leg of our road trip back in February.
One of my favorite places to stop, with the sea lions, birds and views.
La Jolla Cove was the first place I snorkeled many years ago. I still remember starting to hyperventilate when I saw the ocean floor open up below me! But I loved it. However, I will say it is more enjoyable in warm tropical waters! 😊
These guys were all over, fun to watch, and very loud! 🦭

Yay! I love sea lions! I’m happy you were able to have a fun time in such a beautiful place. The first time I went snorkelling in the sea at Malta I was mesmerised. I was scared to go very deep though!

Thank you! Yes it is weird snorkeling in deep waters because it feels like we will fall! (at first, anyway)

One of the most beautiful spots in CA. My sons and I surfed that cove many years ago. Even though it was summer, we suffered through the cold Pacific without a wetsuit. Glad you enjoyed the tranquility of it all.

I worked in CA for many years and took advantage of the good surf. I grew up surfing in Texas, in 85 degree water, so CA water temp was a challenge. Great beaches to visit.
