When we walk this specific neighborhood park, there is a cluster of trees where we will often hear and see birds, including this stunning vermilion flycatcher. I haven’t always had the zoom lens, or even my camera with me, when we see him. The last two Saturday mornings I’ve walked to this park with my zoom lens, in hope of finding this guy (and any other pretty bird posing in the morning sun).
Well, yesterday was the day! I caught him showing off in several locations, a little red beacon in the morning sunlight!
I sure hope he has a lady friend, I’d like to see more of these beautiful birds. I’m going to be on the lookout for a female on future visits.
