This morning on my walk at the wetlands, it was my goal to discover a new dragonfly. I was not disappointed when I walked to the edge of a little pond and this beauty caught my eye. I was patient and so excited when he landed on a bush nearby. It was as though he knew I just needed a few photos and I would be on my way. I believe this to be the male.

Is he not magnificent?

    Nice photo of an unusual colored dragonfly! I didn’t know there were dragonflies with that coloring.

    We have many here on Kiawah but WOW, never seen one in pink. Gorgeous

      Thank you! After finding the green one last week I felt I hit the jackpot yesterday! I wonder if I can find a new one next week 😁 PS: I saw a very similar pink one this morning in our wash area! I was not able to get a close up pic because he was too far away. But he looked the same color!

    Yes, he certainly is! I didn’t realize there were so many different colors in the dragonfly family! It’s a beautiful color.
