“Nature, Art and Culture”

That is what the brochure promises as it promotes one of our local gardens. I have not been there in a very long time, as it was closed much of the past year. They have a stunning outdoor garden bistro where we’ve eaten many times over the past years.

Today I decided I would make this my Saturday morning walk. Although the spring flowers are somewhat of a disappointment this year because of lack of rain, I found beauty around every curve of the garden path.

I simply don’t remember how it looked it’s been so long since I’ve visited. But it was filled with beautiful art sculptures throughout the gardens, along with water features, sitting areas and beautiful flowers and plants. Several areas were available to sit and enjoy nature and simply be.

By the time I left, there were several artists set up with paint and easels throughout, and as I exited, there were folks waiting to be seated in the bistro.

The weather was lovely, and with the colors and artsy springtime vibes, many of my photos highlight a bit of artistic creativity.

I don’t intend to wait as long before I visit again and I am thrilled they are back open for business.

Now to plan that garden lunch…

“Try to walk as much as you can, and keep your love for nature, for that is the true way to learn to understand art more and more. Painters understand nature and love her and teach us to see her. If one really loves nature, one can find beauty everywhere.” ~ Vincent Van Gogh

“Color in a picture is like enthusiasm in life.” ~ Vincent Van Gogh

“Everywhere we look, complex magic of nature blazes before our eyes.” ~ Vincent Van Gogh

“If one truly loves nature one finds beauty everywhere.” ~ Vincent Van Gogh

“Find things beautiful as much as you can, most people find too little beautiful.” ~ Vincent Van Gogh

“If you hear a voice within you say ‘you cannot paint,’ then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced.”
~ Vincent Van Gogh

“I dream of painting and then I paint my dream.” ~ Vincent Van Gogh

“I try more and more to be myself, caring relatively little whether people approve or disapprove.” ~ Vincent Van Gogh

“The more I think about it, the more I realize there is nothing more artistic than to love others.”
~ Vincent Van Gogh

    1. Thank you Donna! I was hoping I would see more hummingbirds, and in the sun. I love seeing them in nature and not just at the feeder.

Very lovely collection of plants! And I’m always happy to see another hummingbird.
Did the garden smell like one particular blossom or another?

    1. Thank you Scott! No, there really was not a lot of flower fragrance. Although there is one blooming all over right now that smells fantastic. Flowering acacia trees. We have a couple in our yard and sometimes the fragrance comes into our house when the breeze blows.
