Yesterday at the wetlands I was watching this little grebe in a water fight with something. I thought it was some kind of water grass or plant. He was really splashing up a storm. The lighting was bad, but I snapped away with my lens zoomed in, trying to figure out what he was up to.
It wasn’t until I got home and decided to get creative with editing that it became a little more clear what he was wrestling with.
Although the photos came out kind of funky, for some reason I decided I like them. I had to lighten the exposure, they were pretty dark. And with my vast lack of editing knowledge I just played around with it to see what I would get.
So, what do you think?
What was he fighting with so ferociously?
I don’t think he won the battle. At the end another bird friend came over to see if he could figure out what was going on…
I think he’s in shock that he lost him!
His little friend came over, Mr. Coot, but he still didn’t come up with anything 😕
