I contemplate my little world as the words of Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World” goes through my mind. Amy challenges us on this week’s Lens-Artists Challenge to consider our Wonderful World.
What an awesome song! We can travel the world and discover its many wonders, but sometimes we tend to miss the wonderful world right here at our feet.
Where the sun rises to the hopes and blessings of a new day…

Where Black-necked Stilts in flight can stir excitement!

Where a butterfly and a dragonfly can coexist…

Where colorful critters can get you excited over and over again…

Where the morning sun, shimmering through lacy wings, is simply magical…

Where, if you look close, you will see the desert colors come alive…

Where the antics of the little birds bring smiles…
And where the serenity and peace of the moment lets your soul know, it will be all right…

Because it really is “A Wonderful World”…
Your macro photos in particular are great illustrations of just why it is indeed a wonderful world!

Thank you Sarah! I do love macros. When we finally get rain and things start to sprout up around here I’ll be taking more. We had the driest year on history last year 🙁

Your message this week was especially pertinent for me Lisa – I think it really WILL be alright as long as nature stays as beautiful as she always is everything else is secondary. Your images are especially wonderful this week – the last along with the birds in flight are my favorites.

Thank you Tina! Walking outside is how I keep my sanity, now more than ever. I wish I was able to get a clear photo of those stilts in the water before they took off. But I also loved them in flight 😊

Beautiful images . Love the last image and the words with it. …where the serenity and peace of the moment lets your soul know, it will be alright. I can feel that.
It sent another song spiraling into my head too . “Every little thing will be alright….” Very nice, Donna

Lovely images, Lisa. The browns and oranges are a perfect complement to one another. I had to laugh because my mind played tricks on me with that last photo. At first glance it looked like the bird was standing on its pair!
