Spotless Lady Beetle

The little red ladybug who has no spots!

Ladybugs are also known as ladybirds in Great Britain and other parts of the English-speaking world. Entomologists prefer the names ladybird beetles or lady beetles as these insects are not classified as true bugs. (Wikipedia)

Maybe the fact that it is not considered a ‘bug’ is why I don’t mind it crawling on my hand! Although I only know the ones with black spots. Interesting information. Thank you.

    1. Thank you! I don’t know that I’ve ever seen them before. And thanks, with regards to the edits. I’m not too knowledgeable, and I’m not real patient! But I should spend some time to learn more. Maybe when I retire 😊

      1. I have started to learn slowly but surely, but I do not like over edited photos, as everyone can see that that is not what you saw. Hust silitly leading the eye to the main thing.

I had Asian Beetles very similar to Ladybugs… and when I got near the plant they were on they gave off a horrible odor!
