San Bernard National Wildlife Refuge, Texas

The other wildlife refuge we visited while staying in Surfside Beach, Texas, was San Bernard. This one was a little further away, but enjoyable and beautiful to visit. It was very isolated and peaceful.

We continued to be entertained by the alligators. I found it interesting that they would wait on the sideline until we passed, then continue on their way…

This little guy hopped in front of me:

And my husband spotted these tiny green frogs in the foliage:

    1. The alligators were my husband’s favorites! We didn’t realize we would be seeing them for some reason. And they didn’t seem to pay much attention to us!

What a beautiful spot! I love the little frogs 🙂 This is the second great post about Texas that I’ve read today – maybe the state should go further up our wish-list?!

    1. Thank you, Sarah! There is a LOT to see in Texas! Sometimes you have to drive some long roads to there there though! It is such a HUGE state! I’m starting to research fun spots when we go 😊

We are so surprised to see such tiny frogs! It’s hard to believe how small they are. I’m glad your ‘assistant’ pointed them out to you. God’s creation is certainly amazing!
