A dose of cuteness

My post yesterday stirred up some sadness with regards to the demise of the poor frog that my heron had for breakfast. Nature can be tragic at times.

To help lighten the mood, here is a dose of raccoon cuteness for your Sunday afternoon. I am grateful for outdoor friends who cheerfully direct those of us with a camera in hand, to choice photo opts.

I assure you, no animal was harmed in any way, during the shooting of these photos. 😊

“We don’t have to go to wild places to find wildlife. A surprisingly wide range of species can be found in our sities and towns, from familiar animals like the raccoon to more exotic ones like the mountain lion.”

    Aww, these ARE cute!
Remember the time we were at the Tucson zoo and saw that bird swoop down and grab that baby duck? I don’t think I’ll ever forget that one!

    1. I do remember that! And we all wanted to protect the baby bird and the staff person said to stay back and let it go, that is nature. It was sad to see though.

Great shots Lisa! I’m more worried about you getting eaten than the frog. Once I went outside to yell at the raccoons eating my garbage and the three of them scared the hell out of me. And not only am I 6’3″ and 200 lbs but I was also plastered. Something about the mask…

    1. πŸ˜‚ Thank you Mike! Now, I agree with you, I do need to pay attention, sometimes I get very focused… I don’t want to freak a creature out and have him come after me!
