These guys are a bit tough to photograph. They are amazingly quick on their feet! This male quail posed beautifully for me this morning. I love that he is in his natural environment perched on a branch.

Yes, great capture, and he doesn’t even look nervous. I spent one day a few years ago sitting outside listening to them. There were babies involved, and a female. I was so impressed at their devotion towards their “family” and their communication is so interesting to watch.
