      Thank you! I eventually got close enough that he hopped off the branch. But he did a great job of posing for a few shots!

    I love this quail photo, especially since they do avoid humans so often. He is a beautiful bird.

    Yes, great capture, and he doesn’t even look nervous. I spent one day a few years ago sitting outside listening to them. There were babies involved, and a female. I was so impressed at their devotion towards their “family” and their communication is so interesting to watch.
