Nest building?

Is this little bird preparing for spring?

💚💛🧡

“To find the universal elements enough; to find the air and the water exhilarating; to be refreshed by a morning walk or an evening saunter… to be thrilled by the stars at night; to be elated over a bird’s nest or a wildflower in spring – these are some of the rewards of the simple life.”

  5. Oh, my gosh…I’ve never seen a hummingbird in real life creating their nest. This is SO cool, way to be there at the right moment!

Oh I bet! And these are wonderful captures. They are so fun to watch! And you brought us up close!
We have a Costa Hummingbird (purple throat) that is visiting our backyard feeders now. He got very close to me while I was filling his feeder. I had my phone and took pictures but wish I had my big girl camera. I may have to sit outside with it and wait for him to return.

    1. I had one come up close to me when I was putting back the feeder! A few years ago, I would just stand out front of my parent’s feeder (it was right in the sun), and I got quite a few awesome photos. But I would just stand out there for like half an hour. It’s worth it though! Thanks Nancy!
