What’s bugging me is that I can’t find more dragonflies to photograph! They were very elusive this morning as I walked around the lake at the nearby preserve. However, it was like walking in a wonderland in some areas, as they fluttered out of the foliage their wings all shimmery in the morning sun! …then to land again further up the way, hidden in the leaves.
In response to Donna’s Lens Photo Challenge, I decided to post a few photos I did capture. I got creative with LR “spring” and “summer” presets.

I see lots of them in summer on a lake with plants. I see them while kayaking. The green herons like them as a snack.

I am hoping that I find some new ones on our next road trip. I’ve seen most of the varieties in my area. But I see amazing photos of other dragonflies! I love them 😊

LISA! I am so glad you joined. When I think of macro bug photography, I always think of you with your dragonflies. I do have two favorites? The first one, because it looks to natural in it’s habitat and the red one that appears to be holding onto the twig. Looks to be conducting an orchestra or preparing for a lecture. lol.
