As a follow up to yesterday’s post, I decided share the first place we stopped when we hit San Francisco: The Golden Gait Bridge
It was one of the top highlights of our road trip up Highway 1.
I love it when a plan all comes together: We happened upon a fantastic parking location (free!). We were able to walk down to the bridge, under the bridge, and found on the other side, additional viewpoints, restrooms, gift shop and food! We were able to walk out on the bridge, and avoided the amazing number of bikers that shared the walk across the bridge (one very near miss).
Although we did not walk all the way across, it was beautiful and awe inspiring. The weather was clear (however, windy and quite cool). There were a lot of people, but we were able to do our thing, and I only image it gets more crowded in the summer and on weekends. It was very energizing as we had a good hike all around, and with the flowers and sunshine, it was simply beautiful.
I lugged my larger camera around, and with no regrets. I thoroughly enjoyed photographing the area, and through it all managed to keep up with my husband who kept wandering ahead of me on our adventures.
🙂

I could spend all day here.
Me and my camera, and my favorite adventure partner.
I just need more time 🙂
