Encelia Farinosa: commonly known as Brittlebush

This morning I headed to a nearby hiking/park area for more outdoor exercise, and to see what spring flowers were blooming.  The amount of sprouts and blooms were amazing.  Because the sky was overcast, and a lot of the flowers were small, I was challenged in capturing their full beauty.

Currently most predominate was the Brittlebush, and I was able to capture a multitude of photos that show the mass beauty of these flowering bushes. I photographed several other individual flowers and I will try to discover their names.

The sky may be gray and filled with clouds,
but in my heart, the sun shines!

  2. Just beautiful! Would love to come across a field of these wildflowers. That last shot with the bee left me yearning for spring. 😊

So Pretty. I think our Creator must have been partial to the color yellow, especially here in the desert.
