You are often so far away
This day you came close
Did our eyes connect?
Did you see me?
Do you know the joy I felt as I saw you swimming along the reeds?
As you peeked my way
We had a moment, don’t you think?
As you swam in circles with your little friend
Did our souls connect?
Perhaps it was a message from God

The colors so beautiful
Your face so sweet
