    1. Shelley, the snow was amazing, for a few hours. Still, lots of now on the top of our highest mountains on the edges of town. Desert snow is quite a sight!

Wow, I don’t think I’ve ever seen an image of snow on a cactus before! I’m glad your beautiful spring flowers weren’t damaged by the sudden shock of snow in the desert 🙂

    1. Sarah, we get snow every few years, and the cactus are beautiful!! I think the snow just gave the flowers a good drink. I’m starting to see the hills covered with flowers! Hoping to get a few more pictures on Saturday 🙂 They don’t last long either.

Oh, I thought it must be a much rarer occurrence than that, but I guess you’re quite high up there?

      2. We are at about 2100 feet. It is rare, but it happens. And the mountains around us usually get some snow each winter.

It was fun to see on the mountains to the north of us but we did not get snow in our yard.
Beautiful pictures and I enjoyed how each one was taken and shared. And the desert is alive with wildflowers!

    1. Yes! Oh I’m mad at myself because I should have hustled out the door at least for a photo along the way (instead of my yard). But I was in a rush to get to a meeting… Oh well, but it was beautiful for a few hours. Yes, Saturday I’m looking for wildflowers!!

Those are really pretty photos. The snow looks really pretty in the desert. It’s snowing by us right now too, but it’s a more common occurrence here. 😉

    1. Thank you! Yes, the snow was really pretty for a few hours until it all melted. Although we do still have snow on some of our mountains. We get snow on our highest mountain most winters and there is a ski lift. So, when it snows up there, lots of people flock up the mountain!

I do not envy you guys having to drive on snow-covered mountains. I couldn’t handle it in late October when the roads were fine. I bet it is really pretty to look at though. 🙂

      2. It is beautiful! We don’t go up there when it snows, but a lot of other people do!
